Gurpinder – Senior Physiotherapist

Gurpinder possesses over 17 years of extensive experience in physiotherapy working in settings such as hospitals, community healthcare, nursing homes, outpatient clinics, and day therapies. With a particular focus on geriatric care, she demonstrates a keen interest in addressing the unique needs of elderly individuals.

Her expertise extends to the management of musculoskeletal conditions, as well as cardiorespiratory physiotherapy, commonly referred to as chest physiotherapy.

She provides both cardiac and respiratory physiotherapy for clients who have an impacted quality of life due to various heart and lung conditions. She utilises equipment such as a stethoscope, blood pressure monitor, pulse oximeter, triflow inspiratory exerciser and a bubble pep, accompanied by specific breathing exercises and techniques to assist clients in achieving the best possible outcomes!

Beyond individualised care, Gurpinder enjoys running community group exercise classes focusing on falls prevention, muscle strengthening, managing arthritic conditions and overall assisting in the importance of keeping the elderly population active.

Her therapeutic approach emphasises hands-on techniques such as manual therapy, soft tissue massage, and personalised exercise programs. Her compassionate demeanour and commitment to patient education and motivation empower individuals to achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Gurpinder finds joy in spending quality time with her family, including her husband and two children, Tegbir and Risham. Her personal interests include cooking (especially her specialty dish of homemade butter chicken), leisurely walks/runs with her beloved dog, Steffie, and enjoying music.
